OUR ALOE IS GROWN IN ARIZONA

I have always had a passion for the Aloe vera plant (also known as Barbadensis).  It is a plant that has had a continuous calling to me with its many uses throughout the years.  It has been a  pleasure for me to watch my plants grow from pups to big beautiful statements.

JUST MY OPINIONS

I am not a doctor.  These are just ways that I have found Aloe to be very useful.  Always error on the side of caution when doing anything new.

There is a great deal of information on the internet about Aloe.  See what works best for you.

If you have a recipe you would like me to try, please share it with me.  I am always up for new ideas.

MINOR BURN RELIEF

Carefully cut a meaty leaf off of your aloe plant. Trim the thorns off of the sides. Cut the leaf in half and apply to your minor burn.  I personally feel it very soothing. I also use it if I have a minor sunburn (if no medical attention is needed) or on one of those irritating burns that I sometimes get from my oven.

ALOE JUICE

Remember, if you are going to use aloe for any type of juice, you want to make sure that it is free of all skin and the gel is clear.  If yellow or green, do not use.  This will make it taste nasty and possibly cause stomach issues.  Wash the meat well in cool water.  It will help get rid of the natural bitterness.

I like to mix it with sparkling water and lime.  Pomegranate or pineapple juices are also very good.  Sometimes I will add a liquid stevia for sweetness.  You can also buy ready to use gel at your trusted market.   There are plenty of recipes on the internet.  Once I have perfected my own, I will be happy to share.
